You will be warmly welcomed at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi and transfer to your hotel for check-in. On this afternoon, you will take a 20 minute drive from your hotel to the very impressive Museum of Ethnology, among the finest of Vietnam's museums. You will see many exhibits, photographs and actual houses inhabited by some of the 54 ethnic people in Vietnam. It will offer a truly colorful introduction to these ethnic tribes. From here, you will enjoy a one hour cyclo tour of Hanoi's vibrant Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake, the focal point of the city. You leave Hanoi by private vehicle at 8:00 am and arriving at the jetty around 12:30 pm. Welcome on board. Enjoy a welcome drink, check-in to your cabin. A fresh seafood lunch will be served while you begin your 3.5 hours cruise through mystic Halong Bay to see the amazing karsts with different formations: Mat Qui (Monster's face) islet, But Moc islet, Cap De islet, Trong (Drum) cave, Trinh Nu cave, floating fishing village, with its unique way of life. Then head to Luon cave, enjoy swimming, sun bathing at Ti Top beach or climb the peak of the mountain for a breath-taking panorama view of Halong Bay. Rising to the sound of lapping bay waters, you have time for an early morning dip followed by breakfast. Sitting on the upper deck, you can relax while taking in the breath-taking beauty of the rocky islands rising from the emeraude water of the bay. After breakfast, you explore Sung Sot cave, swim and relax at Soi Sim beach. The boat cruises back to the jetty while brunch is served. Your boat arrives at the harbor by noon. This morning city tour will have you drive to Ho Chi Minh's complex, including the mausoleum of the nation's founder and leader. The Presidential Palace and Uncle Ho's wooden stilt house can also be seen here. One of must-see places in the complex is the One Pillar pagoda dating back to the 11th century. The next stop is the Temple of Literature, the site of Vietnam's oldest university and dedicated to one of the world's most famous scholars, Confucius. Inside the temple grounds, huge steles rest on the backs of even larger stone turtles (in Vietnam's culture, the turtle represents longevity).
