Rajahmundry City Airport is located at Madhurapudi, of Rajahmundry in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India.
The Rajahmundry airport is a domestic airport and handles only domestic flights and passengers.The airport
was constructed during the British era and is spread over an area of 366 acres. Besides commercial flights
to Hyderabad, the airport is used by helicopters of the ONGC for its offshore oil exploration operations
and other government agencies and the Airport is operates under Airports Authority of India (AAI). There
is one terminal at the Rajahmundry airport which has the capacity of holding 150 passengers during peak hours.
The Airport has 5,710 ft long runway with elevation 151 ft. Limited by runway length, airlines operate smaller
70 seat turbo-prop aircraft like the ATR-72 (Jet Airways)and the Q-400 (SpiceJet) into Rajahmundry.The government
