About Airport:
Raja Bhoj International Airport is located in Gandhi Nagar area of Bhopal city center. The airport is named after Raja Bhoj, belonging to the Paramara dynasty. Raja Bhoj International Airport is a domestic as well as international airport serving Bhopal in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India. The Bhopal Airport is the second-largest airport of Madhya Pradesh.
The Airport has the capacity of handling 700 passengers in a peak hour and the Airport has 2,744 metres long runway. The first direct international flight from Bhopal was to Jeddah for Hajj. The airport became the first airport in the state to use solar power for running its utility grid system. The airport is equipped with night landing facilities, an Instrument Landing System and CAT VII fire services.
