About Agartala Airport:
Agartala Airport is a domestic airport located in the city of Agartala, the capital of the state of Tripura in India.
The airport was designed and built-in 1942 by the Maharaja of Tripura Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya Bahadur. The Aiport is the second largest airport in North East India and 29th busiest airport in India. The Airport is managed and controlled by the Airports Authority of India (AAI). The Agartala Airport has one primary runway and it is 8/36 in length. The up-gradation
is expected to completed by early 2025. Upon completion flights between Agartala and Bangladeshi cities like Dhaka, Chittagong, and Sylhet, will be operated. Agartala Airport has domestic arrivals and departure halls with fairly good facilities with the recent upgrade to international standards. The airport is well connected with all the major parts of India as well as many minor cities. There are various airlines that fly from the airport such as IndiGo, SpiceJet, and Air India.
